Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complex system of medicine which dates back over 3,000 years and includes its own system of diagnosis and treatment.

TCM views the body as a true reflection of nature. The medicine itself was developed through observing nature, and understanding there is no separation between our bodies and the seasons, the movements of the wind, the yin and yang of the rising and setting of the moon and sun and even understanding our patterns and organ systems as part of this natural rhythmic dance of Earth, Water, Fire, Metal and Wood. This simple idea developed into the medicine we practice today of taking what is out of balance and putting it back into balance through understand a patients specific pattern, which may have too much “damp heat” like a hot summer day or to much “dryness” like the wind in the desert. Traditional Chinese medicine uses modalities such as Acupuncture, Herbology, Gua Sha, Moxibustion , Cupping and Dietary Therapy to attain and re-balance the body’s ecosystem. It works in a slow and organic cumulative manner to achieve the bodies utmost health from the root of the issue to the branch.
